One plan for the whole trip
Charging stops for your selected vehicle, how long each one takes and your arrival charge, all in one plan.
ABRP is a detailed route planner. GYST plans the whole road trip: charging, the stops you’ll actually want and an estimated cost. Here’s an honest look at which one fits your next drive.
Tap everything that matters to you. The answer updates as you go, and we’ll tell you if another app fits better.
Charging stops for your selected vehicle, how long each one takes and your arrival charge, all in one plan.
Find food, coffee and washroom stops ahead on your route, with the detour time for each, so you can pick a charger with something useful nearby.
See an estimate for the trip before you leave, based on station pricing along your route where it’s available.
Plan in GYST, then send each leg to Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze or your Tesla to drive.
We’d rather you use the right app. ABRP is likely the better choice if:
| App | GYST | ABRP |
|---|---|---|
| Platforms | iPhone (iOS 18 or later) | Web, iPhone, Android |
| Price | Free, with optional GYST Pro (CAD $4.99 a month or $44.99 a year) | Free, with optional ABRP Premium. Check ABRP for current local prices. |
| Driving directions | Your maps app: Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze or Tesla | Built-in navigation, included on the phone in the free tier |
| In the car | A Live Activity with your next charge on the Lock Screen, which can also appear in CarPlay | CarPlay and Android Auto with ABRP Premium |
| Strongest at | Whole-trip planning with stops and estimated cost | Detailed routing control |
Plenty of EV drivers keep more than one app. Plan the trip and its stops in GYST, check a remote charger’s recent reports in PlugShare, and keep ABRP if you like its settings.
